We worked for many years with these kitchens and our conclusion is : IKEA kitchen is not as simple as it seems. It has thousands of possibilities and in order to obtain the perfect look you need knowledge, experience and creativity.

We had a pleasant opportunity to work with interior designer Veronica Martin . And these are some of the pictures we took during the process of IKEA kitchen installation with her.
It was a combination of IKEA RINGHULT glossy white style doors & custom made doors . In order to camouflage the odd wall we had to create falls doors paneling next to the customized pantry. We assembled the falls doors to the 63 x 110 " plywood sheet ( huge and heavy ! ) and attach it to both wall behind and the pantry on the right.
The whole process was quite challenging but the result was rewarding.

Yes, IKEA its easy.You may deliver it, assemble it , have fun with it. If you can tell the difference between file and nail file and enjoy reading instructions - you can do it.
You can play with shelves, chairs, bed frames etc. but if you think of easy IKEA kitchen installation with your hand tools- here comes another story.
All available instructions provided by IKEA ( brochures, movies etc. ) do not explain how to customize your IKEA kitchen. The result is rather primitive and standard.

You can certainly assemble your cabinets following available instructions but to do it properly is not too easy. Very important is to have all corners at the right angles. Wrong angle will not allow you to adjust doors and to get a right level for counter-top installation.
Correct cabinet assembling is important and for inexperienced person is time .
You really save very little because experienced installer with proper tools will do it in 15 min. and will not charge you for reassembling.
